2018 and 2020 Copper River and Prince William Sound Salmon Disasters – Chinook, Sockeye, & Chum

This federal disaster declaration applies only to the 2018 and 2020 Copper River and the 2020 Prince William Sound Chinook, Sockeye, and Chum salmon fisheries.
A separate declaration and application process for 2020 Prince William Sound Pink and Coho salmon will be announced soon.
CREW MEMBERS
Crew Member applications were made available beginning 11/27/2025 and applications closed on 3/28/2025. Late applications were not accepted.
Crew Member relief checks were mailed on 11/4/2025. If you applied and are expecting a relief check, please wait until at least Monday, December 1st to inquire into the status of your check. This will allow sufficient time for the USPS to either deliver your check or for it to be returned to sender as undeliverable.
If you applied, are expecting a check, and have not received it by 12/1/2025, then please write to AKFishDisaster@psmfc.org Inquiries will not be responded to or entertained until after this time.
TENDER VESSLES
Tender Vessel applications were made available beginning 11/27/2025 and applications closed on 2/21/2025. Late applications were not accepted.
Tender Vessel relief checks were mailed on 11/4/2025. If you applied and are expecting a relief check, please wait until at least Monday, December 1st to inquire into the status of your check. Permit Holder relief checks were mailed on 7/23/2025.
PROCESSORS
Processor applications for the 2018 and 2020 Copper River and 2020 Prince William Sound Chinook, Sockeye, and Chum salmon disasters were mailed the week of November 18, 2024 and closed on 2/18/2025. Late applications are not being accepted.
Processor relief checks were mailed on 7/23/2025.
