2019-2020 Washington Salmon: Columbia River, Willapa Bay, Puget Sound, and Ocean Troll/Charter Fisheries

• Applications opened at 12:00 AM PDT on Thursday, May 8, 2025
• Applications closed at 11:59 PM PDT on Thursday, August 6, 2025.
• Late applications are not being accepted. 

 

Initial relief checks for the 2019 and 2020 Washington salmon disasters were mailed on Friday, October 3rd, 2025.

 

A sound round of relief payments for the 2019 and 2020 Washington salmon disasters were mailed on Thursday, July 16, 2026.

 

Not all qualifying license holders submitted applications which left funds remaining. The remaining funds will be redistributed to qualifying license holders using the same allocation methodology originally established for license holder payments.

 

Please note: If you qualified for disaster relief in both 2019 and 2020, you will receive two checks.

 

If you have not received your check, please wait until after Monday, August 10, 2026 before reaching out. This allows adequate time for postal delivery or return processing if your check is undeliverable. If a check is returned, PSMFC staff will attempt to contact recipients to confirm or update mailing information.
