Following changes to the requirements for research activities approved under this disaster, ADF&G requested a spend plan amendment to remove research funding totaling approximately $180,000.

A second round of relief checks for permit holders was mailed on 03/17/2026. Please allow three weeks before inquiring about the status of your check. If you have not received your check by 04/07/2026, please contact AKFishDisaster@psmfc.org for assistance.

Crew Member

Applications were made available 6/7/2024 on and closed on 9/20/2024. Late applications were not accepted.

Due to low return rates from crew members, those who applied would have received substantially more in relief funds than their permit holder counterparts. As this was not the intention of the spend plan, nor is it normal practice, a spend plan amendment was requested by the Alaska Dept. of Fish and Game (ADF&G). That spend plan amendment capped crew payments at $7,500.00 for each crew who applied. The remainder of funds will be issued to summer and winter permit holders, at a date TBD.

Relief checks were mailed on 9/16/2025.
