Alaska’s “Round 2” CARES Act relief has closed.
“Round 2” relief checks for the Commercial Harvesting sector were mailed on 9/20/2023. Please allow 2-3 weeks before inquiring into the status of your check as to allow sufficient time for USPS to deliver your check. If you have not received your check by 10/16/2023, please write to AKCares@psmfc.org or call (888) 517-7262.
Commercial Harvester = *$3,865.92 / share. Payments are limited by applicant’s absolute loss and/or “do not exceed” amount per federal mandates that applicants not be made “more than whole”. Additional funds in the commercial harvesting sector were redistributed based on the same methodology used to calculate a single share until all funds in this sector were appropriated.
“Round 2” relief checks for Sport Fishing Charter applicants were mailed on 7/24/2023. Sport Fishing Charter = *$21,294.14 / share. Payments are limited by applicant’s absolute loss and/or “do not exceed” amount per federal mandates that applicants not be made “more than whole”. Additional funds in the Sport Fishing Charter sector were redistributed based on the same methodology used to calculate a single share until all funds in this sector were appropriated.
“Round 2” relief checks for Seafood Processors and Subsistence Users were mailed on 5/26/2023. Please note the methodology used to calculate Seafood Processor relief in the state of Alaska’s spend plan below. Subsistence = $403.57 / share.
